Week 22 update!

Ahh! I totally forgot to write yesterday! Well better late then never! From babycenter.com
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.
If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Wow, I'm already over half way done. One more month and I'll be in the 3rd trimester. This past week our baby has been doing gymnastics in my belly! It's so much fun to feel but when he/she does it in church it's kinda distracting... lol.

Last week I talked about my dislike for childbirth class prices, and how I was going to just do online classes. Well I watched the videos by myself to make sure they were informative and complete. I was not disappointed. The birth classes from babycenter.com were very helpful. Not only do they have lots of information in the classes themselves, but they also have links for even more information about most of the subjects. They also have helpful videos, including live birth videos. (Alex has asked if he can opt out of the live birth videos lol) My favorite part is that they even have information and videos about natural relaxation and pain coping techniques. So when it gets closer to delivery time, Alex and I will watch the classes together so we both know whats going on. At the end of the classes, they have a few to-do lists that we will also fill out together. After baby is born, I'll let you all know if the classes helped me with my labor and delivery.

Not much else big this past week, I started reading Proverbs in the hope that God will show me wisdom and guidance about home life and being a parent. Hopefully I'll have some cool insight soon.

Thanks for reading and God Bless!
