Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
Well besides camping this weekend, not much to report. As far as camping goes, here are a few of my notes on camping while 5 months pregnant.
Hiking in a mile isn't too bad actually, I know I was given the lightest pack but as far as being strenuous, it wasn't horrible. What was horrible was the bugs! Deer flies are nasty! Sleeping wasn't too bad either for the most part. Sleeping on the ground didn't bug me, it was the heat that really made me uncomfortable. Other then that it was a fun trip!
I think I can feel the baby kick from the outside now (squee!!!!) I'm so excited! But it does get a little distracting at work :P . I want Alex to be the first one to feel a kick besides me, so hands off the belly people! (I love you all but I have a big personal bubble :) )
Well that's all for now. Thanks for reading and God Bless!
